Please someone shoot me. A vampire. Where did that one come from?! xD;; I'm the girl who takes a pride in having NOT read ANY of Anne Rice's book because, you know, vampires are overdone. :XD:
Well, okay, I'll have to admit it: vampires are fun.
Call me a cliché.

I've had this lineart done for ages... (Or, at least, weeks...) But I had no idea of how to colour it.
Then today I had this sudden urge to draw something for myself, and I decided to go with this lineart. To say the truth, I'm not really happy with how the colouring came out, there are many things I would have changed if I could (the joys of traditional media!). But hey, I got around to try out a few things I really wanted to try, and that was worth it. I hope you will like it nonetheless. :)

As I'm not too happy with my own colouring, I've uploaded the lineart for you to colour if you'd like to give it a shot: [link] :)
Nothing to win, it's not a contest, it's just for fun. Enjoy!

this really reminds me of the actual lore surrounding the New Orleans vampire origins. We went recently and did one of the "haunted tours" where I actually learned a lot. Arranged marriages were quite a thing then and they would put these girls on a boat with all of their belongings (which they had none for the most part) in a box (called a casket) and send them here. These girls would show up and most of them would have scurvy, bleeding gums and blood on their cloths, half dead, dragging behind them an empty "casket" .. and so the legends were born. So to say the least, this painting is kind of historically correct.. great job btw, even if you're not a fan lol
