Okay, I know that a lot of people are not going to like this picture because it is so much different from what I usually do... but I really wanted to draw this, so bear with me
For some reason, I think I must have seen something that inspired me this picture, but I can't remember what, where or when... ._.;;
The title 'Paradize' is actually the title of an album of the French band Indochine (which I am not a huge fan of, but their rock songs have a eerie and surreal feeling that I like pretty much). And before somebody says it, I know that the correct word is 'Paradise' - it is made on purpose.
I am pretty unhappy with how the hair and feet went out X_x;; ... Shame, because I liked the general idea and I kinda feel like I ruined it (not the entire picture, just those parts). I still need to work on anatomy.

I think it's fantastic.
The lighting on the feet could, admittedly, use a little more work... but it doesn't ruin the over all appeal. The alternating soft and stiff lines and the shifting colors give it such a simple elegance.

Thanks! I'm glad someone actually noticed all the empty space... composition is a hard thing to do, I wasn't too sure it was going to come out alright o__o;
I'm not artist, but here goes...perhaps lighting on her hair would work better? I dunno, it's just really dark where her head is (black, hair, go me). And for the foot...I think maybe making it a little more narrow right before her toes would increase the appeal of it. It seems like an abrupt change of width there. I like the fact that there's a bunch of blank space (with twinkle/fuzz things) and the heavy border. It really puts the focus on her and the intricate line work of...the thing she's on...whatever you want to call that. I really like how the colors of the wrinkles change in the sheet. I suppose it adds some motion to the picture. Oh, black is so pretty! Looks nice and peaceful....mmmmm
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

God made me a cannibal to fix problems like you. :]
And I love the hair... I'm no one to say anything about the foot 'cause I can't draw them myself. ^_^
